Vice President, Building Operations

Darren oversees the physical and mechanical operations of all properties in StuartCo’s portfolio and assures that they are maintained at their peak performance level. He supervises building operations and a roving maintenance team as well as after-hours maintenance needs and emergency response. He also serves as project manager on capital improvements, solicits bids, and maintains vendor relations. He prepares and delivers quarterly maintenance training, annual caretaking training, new maintenance tech orientation, and continuing education. As safety committee director, he oversees company safety practices and procedures, training programs, and meetings.

Darren is an active member of the Minnesota Multi-Housing Association, participating on the municipal affairs committee and the CRMT (Certified Resident Maintenance Technician) program. He also serves as a member of the Rogers City Council.

Patricia Farrell

Patricia is responsible for all aspects of property management for a portfolio of market rate properties in the Twin Cities. She oversees the financial success, building integrity, employee development, resident relations, and capital project planning.

Patricia has over 16 years’ experience in multifamily industry with expertise in property sales, acquisitions, customer service and company-wide policy, training and career development.

Stacy is responsible for all aspects of property management for a portfolio of market rate and affordable properties in the Twin Cities. She oversees the financial success, building integrity, employee development, resident relations, and capital project planning.

Stacy is an active member of the MN Multi-Housing Association, and holds designations as Certified Residential Manager (CRM), Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), and Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA). She is the recipient of the MMHA MADACS Multi-site Manager award – 2012.

Kate Grutzmacher

Kate is responsible for all aspects of property management for a portfolio of market rate properties in the Twin Cities. Kate has over 15 years’ experience in the real estate industry and holds designations as Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) and Association Management Specialist (AMS). Her expertise is strongly focused on customer centric services, associate support and development and strategic company growth.

In 2014, Kate received the Greatest Financial Impact Award from the CAI-MN. Her leadership and collaborative efforts resulted in a grant from the Minnesota Historical Society in the amount of $247,000 to rehabilitate a visible historical landmark in the Mill District. She was also recognized for her work helping to plan, build, and finance a new energy plant that will create over $1 million of long-term financial benefit for the client.

Andrew is responsible for all aspects of property management for a portfolio of market rate properties in the Twin Cities and Wisconsin. He oversees the financial success, building integrity, employee development, resident relations, and capital project planning.
Matt Theis

Matt Theis

Controller

Matt oversees the accounting operations of StuartCo and its related entities. He and his team seek to provide efficient vendor payment solutions, resident payment processing, and accurate financial statement reporting for site managers as well as ownership. They are the primary point of contact for all accounting related inquiries, including payables, receivables and general ledger entries, providing customer support to corporate and property management staff. Matt has held controller roles in the construction industry for over 15 years and an additional 6 years of accounting management in commercial real estate.
Brooke Tibbits

Marketing Strategist

Brooke is responsible for overseeing all projects that come through the marketing department. Additionally, she leads social media strategy and online advertising campaigns for StuartCo’s portfolio of properties.

Brooke is actively involved with the Minnesota Multi Housing Association, serving as Chair of the Charitable Outreach Committee.

Travis Guza

Director of IT

Travis oversees all areas of information systems including report creation, integrating software programs to communicate with one another, and providing proper data backup and network security. He assists all computer users providing software support and training for property management software, Microsoft Office, e-mail, and other applications. He administers software purchasing, upgrades installation and oversees licensing.
Teresa Weiss

Director of Human Resources

Teresa oversees all aspects of Human Resources including payroll, benefits, recruiting, training & development, rewards & recognition and retention. She is also responsible for labor law compliance, performance appraisals, safety & risk management, employee engagement resources, workers compensation, event planning and wellness.

She is an active member of the MN Multi-Housing Association and is involved in the M&A HR Executive Roundtable.

Lead Designer

As Lead Designer, Gerry keeps a consistent watch over our apartment upgrades, amenity space renovations, and general design projects. He identifies materials that are both fresh and functional, negotiates volume discounts, and eliminates the need for costly outsourcing– allowing StuartCo to prioritize design projects.
