  Stuart Nolan founded the company in 1970 and grew the portfolio to over 5,000 units through development and acquisition of assets. Throughout his career, he has been involved as a Past Chair of the Minnesota Multihousing Association, and was awarded a prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the industry. He is also on the Board of Members for Minnesota Real Estate Journal and serves as a guest lecturer at Carlson School of Business, University of Minnesota.

  Mr. Nolan remains actively involved in acquisitions, developments and investment opportunities as well as annual budgets and strategic planning. He is an excellent resource for staff and investors.

  Ms. Dunlay is a member of the MN Multi Housing Association and oversees all aspects of StuartCo’s charitable giving program including selection of partners, fundraising events, and coordination of volunteers.

  Terry Steffen joined StuartCo in 2009 with years of experience in finance in the real estate industry. He works directly with development and accounting to oversee financial performance of new and existing assets in the portfolio. Additionally, he oversees the operations of accounting, risk management, and IT within the organization.

  Mr. Steffen is a member of Minnesota Multi-Housing Association, AICPA, and the MN Society of CPA’s, as well as the Collaborative CFO Work Group. He is active in the Eagan Athletics Association and St. Thomas Becket Church youth programs.

  Andrew is an active member of the MN Multi Housing Association and was the recipient of the Multi-Site Manager Award in 2017. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and is a licensed realtor in Minnesota.

  Darren oversees the physical and mechanical operations of all properties in StuartCo’s portfolio and assures that they are maintained at their peak performance level. He supervises building operations and a roving maintenance team as well as after-hours maintenance needs and emergency response. He also serves as Project Manager on capital improvements, solicits bids, and maintains vendor relations. He prepares and delivers quarterly maintenance training, annual caretaking training, new maintenance tech orientation, and continuing education. As Safety Committee Director, he oversees company safety practices and procedures, training programs, and meetings.

  Darren is an active member of the Minnesota Multi-Housing Association, participating on the Municipal Affairs Committee and the CRMT (Certified Resident Maintenance Technician) program. He also serves as a member of the Rogers City Council.
